CHELSEA FOOTBALL CLUB - HOME OF THE SEAGULLS

CHELSEA GRIT

1964 - SEASON REVIEW

In 1964 the MPNFL introduced a 4th Grade Junior Competition and after having first joined the Federal League in 1960, the club's 4th's would now also play in the MPNFL. This was a powerful side which included a very young Leigh Matthews and at seasons end the team had achieved the perfect season, winning all of it's home and away games and then it's 2 finals to claim the Premiership.
